CELINE PANNETIER
Céline is a French photographer currently living in Barcelona. She believes the special light of this city is probably her main trigger when she goes out for a stroll. She always tries to have her camera with her, and if not, would use her cell phone to capture those shadows that mesmerize her. She admits that photography almost equals to meditation: “When looking through the viewfinder, comes the silence, and the choreography of light, shadows and colors takes over”.
She realized several long-term projects such as Quantum and The Straw Conspiracy. “The Straw Conspiracy”, about single use plastics, was exhibited in 2019 in Barcelona’s La Boqueria Market and in 2020 in Rotterdam Chrysalid Art Gallery. Her latest and still ongoing project about the mesmerizing interaction between city pigeons and humans was dramatically put on hold by Covid pandemic. But she is determined to make it grow.
Her street photography was recognized by LensCulture Street Photography Award, Miami Street Photo Festival, Barcelona International Photo Award, Women In Street At StreetFoto San Francisco Festival, HeadOn Photo Festival, Women Street Photographers, Street Sans Frontières, EyeShot Magazine, La Calle Es Nuestra, el Diari Ara, France Culture’s Papiers Magazine.
Celine is also part of the Little Box Collective. Their latest work “The Divinity of Light” was exhibited at the Foca Street Photography Festival in Tabasco, Mexico.
