FRANCESCA CHIACCHIO

Francesca started shooting and developing photos while still studying architecture in Naples, Italy. After graduating, she moved to NYC with the idea of becoming a professional photographer. Once there, she ended up working as an architect, taking pictures in her free time. Back in her hometown, she approached Street Photography in 2017, and since 2019 her work has been exhibited in various Street Photography Festivals, and it has been featured in numerous magazines and webpages (UP Photographers, Eyeshot Magazine, Crack Magazine, 121 Clicks, Street Photographers Foundation, Magazine Reportagem, The Street Rover Magazine).

She is one of the 100 Women Street Photographers showcased in the book curated by Gulnara Samoilova and edited by Prestel Publishing. She is a member of an international street photography collective called “Through the Lands“, which aims to connect 14 photographers from all over the world to show their unique P.O.V. of the countries they visit. In 2022 she received the Honorable Mention by Vineet Vohra, Indian photographer and Leica ambassador, in the EYESHOT Open Call.

In 2019, after being an architect for 20 years, Francesca abandoned her profession to become an art and photography teacher in public schools.
